While the promotion of Code Vein has continued pretty much consistently over the past few months, Bandai Namco has been silent on the God Eater series since the reveals in October.

This silence is about to end, more precisely in February. On the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Producer Yosuke Tomizawa mentioned that the anniversary of the series is coming in February and the team is preparing to release new info around that period, also encouraging fans to look forward to it.

The development of the series is currently two-pronged. God Eater 3 is coming to “home consoles” and currently doesn’t have a release date or even a window. We have seen a trailer and a few screenshots, and we know that it’s coming to North America and Europe.

The series is also going to appear on mobile platforms with the God Eater 2: Rage Burst direct  sequel God Eater: Resonant Ops which promises a full-fledged JRPG on iOS and Android.

At the moment, we don’t know whether the news coming in February are about just one of those projects or both, but personally, I can’t wait to hear more, especially about the console game. It was 30% complete back in October, so it’s unknown whether it’ll come this year.

The first God Eater game was released on February 4th, 2010, so the series will soon celebrate its 8th birthday.
