Today, developer Inti Creates announced that its newest title Gal*Gunvolt Burst was released today in North America.
According to the press release, Gal*Gunvolt Burst is now available for North Americans and can be purchased digitally via the PlayStation Store for $9.99. Additionally, European gamers looking to get their hands on the latest title by Inti Creates will have to wait a few weeks longer with the game seeing a digital release on Friday, April 6.
So for those of you unaware of this game, Gal*Gunvolt Burst is a 2D action platformer that pays homage to games from the 8-bit (or what many will often to refer to it as the classic) era of gaming. Aside from offering stunning aesthetics that mimic the 1990s era of gaming Gal*Gunvolt Burst also harmoniously combines elements found in games today.
In Gal*Gunvolt Burst, players can choose to play as one of three characters: Mighty No. 9‘s Beck, Azure Striker Gunvolt‘s Gunvolt, and Gal*Gun Double Peace‘s Ekoro, and have the chance to endure an original and compelling story, which brings these characters together into a parallel world. On top of that, if you enjoy the base game and want to experience the game with additional characters, a DLC expansion pack featuring rivals from Mighty No. 9, Azure Striker Gunvolt, and Gal*Gun is also available for $4.99.
Gamers will also have a slew of collectible power-ups to obtain as well as an intriguing character customization mechanic, which will provide plenty of room for experimenting with; virtually, making it the ideal game, which harmoniously blends classic and modern gaming features together.
