Start preparing yourselves to add another title to your Nintendo Switch backlog. Late last night, developer Galaxy Trail uploaded an image of their fast-paced, Sonic inspired platformer Freedom Planet running on the Nintendo Switch to their official Twitter account.

Fans of the game have been clamoring for a Switch port since Galaxy Trail teased it this past January. This original tease, as reported by DualShockers, featured a limited edition physical copy of the game resting on top of a Switch, bearing the caption “Are we doing it right?”

Their most recent Twitter post is almost an exact copy of the January tease, however, Freedom Planet is actually shown running on the console.

Freedom Planet was originally released on Windows back in 2014 and eventually ended up on Linux, OS X, PlayStation 4, and the Wii U. A sequel, entitled Freedom Planet 2, has been announced but has not received an official release date.

Unless this is a very elaborate prank, it’s safe to assume that Freedom Planet will be formally announced for the Switch at some point in the near future. If you can’t wait to get your speedy platforming fix, feel free to download the title on one of the multiple platforms it’s currently available on.
