Fortnite Experiencing Log-In Issues Across All Platforms; Epic Games is Working on the Problem

Fortnite has taken the world by storm thanks to its massively popular Battle Royale mode and continued stream of new content and updates, and while the game’s playerbase continues to grow across consoles, PC, and mobile, the past day or so has seen the game struggling with some notable log-in and matchmaking issues.

Players of the massively popular Fortnite have been experiencing a variety of log-in issues with the game across all platforms over the past day, and developer Epic Games has revealed via Twitter that there has been a “critical failure” with one of the account service databases for the game that has resulted in “ongoing extended instability” for players to log-in and play, leading to instability for log-ins and matchmaking.

Epic explained in a post on the Battle Royale mode’s subreddit that the studio is currently investigating the issues, and according to their most recent update, the studio has possibly found the problem and is working speedily to “bring the game fully back up.”

Currently there is no estimate or window for when the game will be back online, but Epic Games assured that it will provides updates “hourly” on the status of the game’s servers and when players can hop back online to claim their Victory Royale.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and iOS.
