The Fortnite Dreamhack Open is one of the most popular tournaments in the game.
It’s easily accessible and has a huge prize pool, leaving players scrambling to register for the exciting event.
The tournaments are coming thick and fast at the moment, with April’s event firmly in the rearview mirror and May’s now on the horizon.

What is the Schedule for the Upcoming Dreamhack Tournament?
May’s Dreamhack tournament gets underway very soon – you can find the full schedule below:
Europe (Times in CEST):
- HEAT 1 – May 5, 6 PM – 9 PM
- HEAT 2 – May 6, 6 PM – 9 PM
- SEMI-FINALS – May 19, 7 PM – 10 PM
- GRAND FINALS – May 20, 7 PM – 11 PM
North America (Time in EDT):
- HEAT 1 – May 5, 7 PM – 10 PM
- SEMI-FINALS – May 6, 7 PM – 10 PM
- GRAND FINALS – May 19, 7 PM – 11 PM
Prize Pool and Rules
The upcoming tournament is a duos tournament. 500 players will qualify from the heats, with each team playing a maximum 10 games over the three hour period.
From there, 50 duos will advance from the Semis into the Grand Final where eight games will be played at the same time until a winner is determined.
The prize pool offers players the opportunity to win their share of $200,000, split across both regions, you can see the prizes for the top three ranked teams below:
Europe:
- 1st – $23,000
- 2nd – $14,000
- 3rd – $10,800

- 1st – $13,500
- 2nd – $8,000
- 3rd – $6,600

Fortnite Dreamhack May 2021 – How to Register
Registering for the tournament couldn’t be easier – by following the below steps, you’ll be eligible to compete;
- Open Fortnite on your console of choice.
- Select the “Compete” tab in game.
- Select the “Dreamhack Open” option
Following this, you should be in and ready to compete. Just remember you need to have 2FA activated and must be over 13 years old to enter.
