Today Epic Games released a new video about the massively popular Battle Royale mode of Fortnite.

The video, starring Design Lead Eric Williamson, explains some of the changes made with the release of Update 5.0, or Season 5, however you want to call it.

We get into the changes made to shotguns, that have been tweaked to be more consistent in their spread and less overpowered when carrying several of them. The balance between SMGs and assault rifle has also been adjusted.

The storm circle behavior has also been changed in order to better push the players around when matches get quite long.

Season 5’s progressive outfits will be based on experience and can be completed beyond the season itself, giving players more chances to unlock them.

Last, but certainly not least, we get a sneak peek at the sound team at work… with golf carts.

You can check the video out below. You can also read the full patch notes, and take a look at more recent videos.

Fortnite is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, iOS, and will be released on Android this summer. No, it doesn’t run on toasters… yet.
