Today, publisher Focus Home Interactive has revealed its financials for the first-quarter of the company’s 2018/2019 fiscal year.

Over these first three months of the year, Focus Home has reported that they have made €28.5 million in revenue. This money was made primarily by the strong sales of Vampyr, which launched in early June. Last we had heard of Vampyr’s sales, the game had sold nearly half a million copies a little over a month after release.

This first-quarter revenue is a 23% increase compared to the first quarter of the 2017-2018 fiscal year in which Focus Home generated €23.2 million. Last year’s release of The Surge was Focus Home’s major first-quarter title. By comparison, Vampyr has been a bigger success for the publisher leading them to say it “marks a new milestone for Focus Home Interactive.” Additionally, MudRunner and Farming Simulator 17 Platinum Edition continued to have solid sales in this first quarter and accounted for 29% of total sales.

As for what is coming up in the second quarter of this fiscal year, Focus Home says they will be releasing two new games. The first is Fear the Wolves, a battle royale game set in post-apocalyptic Chernobyl. This title will be launching on Early Access via Steam this quarter and will go into full release next year. The second game on Focus Home’s lineup is Insurgency: Sandstorm, which currently boasts 5 million players on PC. Insurgency: Sandstorm will be launching on PC this Summer and will come to consoles in 2019.

Seeing Focus Home Interactive’s continued success in the mid-tier publishing space is promising and things only seem to be looking up for the company with more releases like Farming Simulator 19 and more content for MudRunner coming later this year.
