Zoink Games announced Flipping Death, a new adventure game with a similar visual style to one of their previous titles Stick It To The Man, last February for Nintendo Switch. The game was supposed to launch in 2017, but was pushed back until Spring 2018 and also revealed to be coming to PS4. The developers previously voiced their intentions of releasing the game physically, but today Zoink Games announced that they have partnered with Rising Star Games to release Flipping Death physically on PS4 and Nintendo Switch at launch.

According to Rising Star Games, the retail version of Flipping Death will also include two exclusive collector’s cards. These cards will include character art, bios, and a unlock code in order to unlock the same card in-game.

This announcement comes just two days after it was revealed that SteamWorld Dig 2 would be released physically on PS4 and Switch, courtesy of Rising Star Games as well. Zoink Games and Image & Form Games recently merged to form Thunderful Games, so these physical releases are likely one of the beneficial results of that merger.

Martin Defries, Managing Director at Rising Star Games, had the following to say about assisting Zoink Games with releasing Flipping Death physically:

“We are honored to work in continued partnership with such an esteemed and award-winning creative force as Zoink Games. Being able to bring Zoink’s wild imagination and vision of Flipping Death to players in physical boxed form with additional items in the box enables Rising Star Games to serve the community as well as nurture new Zoink fans.”
