First Screenshots for Mortal Kombat 11 Have Arrived

One of the biggest reveals during The Game Awards last night was that of Mortal Kombat 11, the latest installment in the long-running and highly-violent fighting series. While the game’s reveal was accompanied by a trailer last night, today, a new set of screenshots for MK11 have emerged.

Much like in the reveal trailer, these new images show off both Scorpion and Raiden. Of the seven images in total, two of them show off each character’s model in higher detail while the others seem to have been taken directly from an in-game fight. The quality of each image is pretty great and I hope that this same graphical fidelity can carry over to the full release — even though that’s unlikely for the Switch version, specifically.

In addition to these new images, we also received new information on Mortal Kombat 11 this morning and the game’s custom character variation system. Essentially building off of the pre-set system found in Mortal Kombat X, creative director Ed Boon explained in further detail how things will be changing in that of MK11. We’ll likely learn much more about this system along with seeing first official gameplay at the Mortal Kombat 11 community event scheduled for next month on January 17.

Until that time, you can see all of the new screenshots released today in the image gallery below. Mortal Kombat 11 will be releasing on April 23 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
