Today the Xbox Store revealed quite a few details about the first DLC expansion of Bungie’s recently-released online first-person shooter Destiny 2.

The expansion should be titled “Curse of Osiris,” and it’s described as follows:

“Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian’s journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student – Ikora Rey.”

We also get a list of contents, Apparently we’re going to Mercury.

  • Explore Mercury and its mysterious “Infinite Forest.”
  • New story missions and adventures.
  • New themed weapons, armor, and gear to earn.
  • New cooperative activities.
  • New competitive multiplayer arenas.
  • And more…

The listing does not include a release date, but we know that the expansion pass includes two expansions, even if we can probably imagine that the game will receive more than those afterwards.

According to Bungie, and unsurprisingly, “millions” of players are already partaking in the Destiny 2 party. If you would like to see and read more of Destiny 2, you can take a look at our pre-review impression article in progress, and you should also check out our previous coverage on the European Dead ZoneLost Sectors themselves and Loot Farming, and Heroic Public Events.
