Final Fantasy XV Crosses Over into Assassin’s Creed with Free “Assassin’s Festival” DLC

Today, Square Enix has announced new content for Final Fantasy XV. According to the publisher, players will have the chance to participate in a limited time event, which will feature featuring gameplay elements similar to one of Ubisoft’s most profitable intellectual properties.

Starting on Thursday, August 31st, 2017 until Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 Final Fantasy XV players will have access to this timed-event, which will feature gameplay elements from Ubisoft’s action-adventure franchise. In addition to gameplay similar to Assassin’s Creed, the festival will include mini-games as well as a chance to acquire exclusive items, including the “Medjay Assassin’s Robes” for Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto.

On top of that, the “Master Assassin’s Robes” for Noctis can be obtained by receiving the Dream Egg, an item available at the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, which is now live until late September.

Speaking of Final Fantasy XV, this week it was announced that a pocket version of the game would launch this fall on Android, and Windows 10 devices as well as a PC port coming early next year. For more information on the game, you can check out some 4K screenshots of the Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition as well as our videos showing off the impressive female character creation and the one for males included in the beta of the upcoming Comrades multiplayer feature.
