It wouldn’t be a Square Enix E3 Showcase without some mention of Final Fantasy XIV — however, there is a great tie-in coming. According to a reveal at the Square Enix E3 2018 Showcase, we can expect some Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter World collaboration coming this Summer.
The reveal, seen in the trailer below (courtesy of YouTuber GamersPrey) starts with an extended look at Final Fantasy XIV. At first, it seemed like the only announcement we would see was a teaser for the upcoming Patch 4.3 — dubbed Under the Moonlight.
However, rolling after the Under the Moonlight section we saw a tease at the upcoming crossover between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter World. Crossover events for Capcom’s Monter Hunter series aren’t uncommon. With that said, the game crossover will happen sometime this Summer, an official release date is not yet known.
Both Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter World are available immediately for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Check out the reveal trailer below:
