Today Square Enix announced the release date of Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming update numbered 4.35.

The patch will release on July 3rd, and despite the decimal, it shouldn’t be mistaken with an insignificant update. It will bring forth quite a bit of content.

First of all, we get a new chapter of the adventures of Hildibrand, on top of the Deep Dungeon Heaven-on-High. If you’re wondering what that is, it’s the enormous Jenga-like structure on top of the Ruby Sea.

“Rising high above the Ruby Sea from the island of Onokoro, Heaven-on-High is said to be the stairway traversed by kami descending from their empyrean home. Following the discovery of a secret entrance, the Confederate leader Rasho asks you to investigate the tower and brave the hordes of vile fiends that lurk within.”

Incidentally, the game is also getting a companion app in July, and a crossover with Monster Hunter World.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS4 and PC, and you can grab a copy on Amazon.
