Final Fantasy VII Remake is on the horizon with its release date of April 10 and it appears that preparations for launch have already begun. While there has yet to be an announcement on the game going gold it seems that developer Square Enix knows how much storage space it will require to download onto the PlayStation 4. Reddit user aniphreak posted a photo in a Final Fantasy page showing off a part of the printing process for the game’s cover art. The picture includes the Korean version of the game which shows both the front and backside of the cover. Based on the back cover, it appears that Final Fantasy VII Remake will take up at least 100 GB of hard drive space.

This isn’t much of a surprise as we have already learned that the upcoming JRPG will be on two discs for physical owners so it would be fair to expect a steep memory size in kind. Red Dead Redemption II similarly had a large download size for consoles along with the physical version containing two discs.

As of now, there is no telling behind the legitimacy behind the photo so take it with a grain of salt, but with how technically demanding Remake is looking to be I would still expect a large hard drive requirement once the game launches in two months. You can pre-order Final Fantasy VII Remake on Amazon right now to prepare for its release on April 10.
