Developer Arika has announced that they plan on bringing three new DLC fighters to Fighting EX Layer early next year. Two out of the three will be available for free to everyone that owns the game while the last character will be included as paid DLC. You can check out Arika’s announcement video for yourself down below.

Two returning Street Fighter EX characters Area and Sharon were teased at E3 2018 alongside Terry Bogard of the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series. I’d assume this means that they’re probably the three characters we can expect.

In the update video, we see Sharon fighting in the background so that probably means she’ll be the character releasing in March. The development team is still undecided as to whether or not the final two characters will release alongside each other or at different dates. You can expect that everyone will definitely be available before the end of May.

Finally, the development team detailed some upcoming updates for Fighting EX Layer that’ll begin rolling out at the start of the year. First, in January the game’s arcade mode will be receiving some fixes while tinier adjustments will be made to the overall gameplay. In February, the team will be making some more adjustments and adding new music tracks. That’ll all be leading up to March when players will finally get their hands on a new character.

Fighting EX Layer is available right now on PS4 as well as PC.
