FIFA 21 continues the holiday festivities with a new player SBC today. After dropping a pace bomb on the game yesterday with Adama Traore, EA is now giving the French Ligue 1 some love. Today’s SBC moves Strasbourg’s Kenny Lala from right wingback to right-mid, while boosting his pace and shooting.  He’s only a single squad, so he’s a bit less expensive; however, if you needed a French right-mid for your squad, you probably already have Flashback Romain Alessandrini, which is, for me, a better card. So, I’m not too sure what EA is thinking here. This could’ve been a chance for a minor league to get a card into the promo, something they still haven’t done.

Look, I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, but this does not seem like good value. Is Lala quality? Sure, but he’s worse than Alessandrini and more expensive due to the repeatable Icon SBC. Granted, maybe you’re starting FUT now and missed that SBC. That said, if you need a French winger, I’d rather player Ousmane Dembele on 7 chem and save myself roughly 135,000 coins.

If EA comes back and updates him to 4-star/4-star, as they did with Adama yesterday, then we can talk about it. However, until that happens this is a pass for me. If you absolutely need to do this, check out the solution below for some inspiration.

As ever, check your club for some high-rated players and build around them. This isn’t a tough SBC to do, so don’t go on the market unless you have to. Personally, I’d just put my money into that 86+ guaranteed SBC and hold it for Team of the Year. You never know when your luck might be in for one of those big boys.

FIFA 21 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Check back tomorrow to see which player is coming to FUT Freeze next.
