If you know me on a personal level, you would see that I am a huge fan of the Fallout series.  While I patiently wait for Bethesda Game Studios to announce the next installment in the franchise, the modding community in Fallout 4 is ever-growing and continues to introduce new ways to enjoy your wasteland adventure, and Fallout UIF is one of the many mods that help increase the game’s replay value.

Fallout UIF is a project created by Dark Claw Raven, but unlike the previous two mods I mentioned last week, this ambitious mod introduces a fifth Faction into the game titled the Union Independent Federation (or the UIF for short). According to the creator, the UIF is a military-type group based out of the Carolinas and has come to the Commonwealth with the intention of bringing freedom, justice, and security to the Bostonian Wasteland.

The UIF’s faction colors are black and red and offer a lot of military-type equipment. Much like the Railroad and The Institute, aside from the apparent enemies of the game (Gunners, Raiders, and all types of radiated fiends looking to kill you) the UIF also has an intense dislike with the other joinable faction the Brotherhood of Steel.

In addition to this mod introducing a new joinable faction, it also includes a line of quests and its own ending for the main storyline. If that wasn’t enough, the creator of the project has also stated that those that choose to align with the UIF will be able to have an actual “evil” Fallout 4 playthrough.

Initially, this project was announced back in 2016, and after a year of development, the complete mod is now complete, with the project officially launching on December 26, 2017, for PC and Xbox One. Those interested in seeing what this new mod is all about, PC gamers can download the mod either on Nexus Mods (PC version only) or Bethesda.net (available for both PC and Xbox One). Fallout 4 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
