Today NIS America released a new trailer for Takeyasu Sawaki’s upcoming dungeon-crawling JRPG The Lost Child.

If Sawaki-san’s name sounds familiar, that should not surprise you, because he is the developer who created El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron for PS3 and Xbox 360, and also the character designer of Okami.

This time around we get to see the beautiful (and weirdly-dressed) heroine Lua as she looks for a “layer” which is basically the portal to a dungeon filled with demons. Incidentally, the scene is set in Akihabara, Tokyo. The Sobu Line steel railway bridge crossing the main street is unmistakable. On the left, you can see the two Sega arcades and Sofmap, while on the right there is a soba store popular among local geeks for its cheap katsudon (which I had about a gazillion times), and the Maidreamin maid cafe on the second floor. Of course, all branding has been removed, but it’s still old dear Akihabara all right, designed in great detail.

You can the video out below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy another recent trailer also showing the English voice acting, and one from the week before. If you want to learn more about Akihabara, you can check out the dedicated episode of our WeebCast.

The game will launch on June 19th in North America and June 22nd in Europe on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita. If you’re interested in grabbing a copy of the game, you can already pre-order it via Amazon.
