Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Comes to Switch in April

Capcom, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, News, Originals, Switch

In a surprise announcement this morning, Capcom revealed that they will be bringing the world of Dragon’s Dogma to Switch in just a few short months.

Specifically, the version of the game that will be coming to Switch is that of Dark Arisen and it will release on April 23. For those unaware, Dark Arisen is an enhanced edition of Dragon’s Dogma that features additional content than that of the base game.

Dragon’s Dogma first released on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2012 before later arriving as Dark Arisen on the same platforms the following year. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen eventually came to PC in 2016 and was also ported to PS4 and Xbox One in 2017. Since that time, no further news on the franchise has been announced until today.

For a game that has been ported to various different platforms time and time again over the years, it’s still somewhat odd that Capcom hasn’t spoken about any plans for a potential sequel. Maybe if the release of this Switch version is successful though, it will convince the company to one day dive back into the world of Gransys, but that remains to be seen.

You can find the announcement trailer for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for Switch down below if you’re interested. Hopefully, this version of the game turns out better than its PS4 and Xbox One port counterparts
