Today Atlus and Vanillaware released a large batch of screenshots of the upcoming side-scrolling JRPG Dragon’s Crown Pro.
The screenshots showcase elements that will prove quite familiar to those who tried the first game, including the Dragon’s Haven Inn, the Adventurers Guild, Morgan’s Magic Item Shop, Canaan Temple, Lucain’s Tower, the treasure art collection, the quest ending screens, the Ultimate difficulty menu, the Labyrinth of Chaos, the Arena, and the Tower of Mirages.
As usual, none of those elements is new to the Pro version of the game, as Vanillaware opted for a straight remaster with no additional content to preserve full cross-save and cross-play with the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. Considering how much I love Dragon’s Crown, I’ll take it, but your mileage may vary on whether the upgrade is worth the coin.
You can check out the gallery below. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the first English gameplay video, a commercial in Japanese, a recent gallery of screenshots showing the game’s beautifully painted stages, a trailer showing the ripped Amazon, one showcasing the busty sorceress, another focused on the nimble Elf, and a third video showcasing some lovely multiplayer gameplay.
Dragon’s Crown Pro will launch in Japan on February 8th, 2018 exclusively for PS4. It will then release in the west in Spring 2018.
