During a livestream from Jump Festa at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba near Tokyo, Square Enix announced the Japanese release date of the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest Builders.
The game will launch on the local market on March 1st, 2018. It will retail for 4,800 yen (roughly $42). A free demo is also coming, and it’s launching (just in Japan for now) on February 1st.
In addition to the release date, we also saw some gameplay in docked TV mode, giving us a glimpse of what the game will look like on Nintendo’s console. It certainly doesn’t look much different from the PS4 version, at least at first sight.
