The beta for Battlefield V is currently happening and going strong. This iteration in the series is mixing things up quite a bit and you will certainly notice the changes if you are a veteran of the franchise.

The developers of the title are aware of some issues and are actively looking to tweak aspects based on player feedback and to provide a better experience. Daniel Berlin, Design Director for Battlefield, tweeted out the following:

Before a certain web-slinger came along to the PS4, I was having a fantastic time with the beta. I believe all the changes made provide a more tactical experience and mixes up the normal multiplayer FPS genre quite a bit. However, there are still some things that I would like to see them the address.

After getting killed, you are downed and can be revived by any other player, but if nobody is around to revive you, you must wait to bleed out. Then on top of that, waiting for that you must wait an additional time to respawn from the menu. Then if you can’t respawn on your squad and you have to parachute down, you will have to wait even longer. I felt like I was spending more time waiting to play rather than actually playing.

Other than some nitpicky things, I think the changes they have made to this iteration have been for the better and I am looking forward to the full release of the game.

After a brief delay, Battlefield V is set to release on October 20th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
