If you’re looking for a colorful game which requires solving puzzles and you want it soon, then Devolver Digital announced the release date for Pikuniku coming to both PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s also available to pre-order now on Nintendo Switch if you’re in North and South America. Everywhere else will get to place pre-orders January 17 and receive 10% off.

Pikuniku, developed by Sectordub finds players exploring a colorful world rich in puzzles and exploration, although, as colorful as it looks, you begin to uncover a conspiracy of sorts. You’ll help characters overcome issues they might have and start up a revolution by taking to the world alone in single-player. You’ll also be able to get a friend involved and take part in levels designed for cooperative play, featuring a lot of jumping, falling, and teamwork.

If you’re planning on attending PAX South later this month at San Antonio then it will be playable at the Devolver Digital booth. I imagine that you’ll probably be able to try more of Devolver Digital’s upcoming titles such as My Friend PedroApe Outand maybe even Metal Wolf Chaos XD.

Furthermore, there is a trailer embedded below that shows off some of the insane humor you can expect to find in the Pikuniku. Lob a spider over a gap, smash up some pots, dance, do some painting, and more. We also see an example of the cooperative gameplay in action featuring two players walking around trying to solve puzzles by kicking one another about.

The game was announced back in 2017 and was due to launch sometime in 2018 before being delayed. It’s detailed that the game can be played at your own pace with the campaign lasting about 4-5 hours.

Pikuniku is planned to launch on PC and Nintendo Switch on January 24.
