Yesterday, FDG Entertainment tweeted their thanks to the Nintendo Switch community for keeping the indie developers, Castle Pixel, of Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King in business.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King, developed by Castle Pixel and published by FDG Entertainment, made its way  to Nintendo Switch back in December after many fan requests to the publisher.  The game originally was an unsuccessful Kickstarter game before its move to Steam.  In their tweet, FDG mentioned the incredible rise in revenue after only three months of being available on Switch.

While Castle Pixel has not shared what their next project will be, they did share their thanks to the Switch community with Game Informer:

“It was a complete turn around, like FDG tweeted, it’s exceeded lifetime sales on steam by 20 to 1. Blossom Tales was built for Nintendo fans and the fans ultimately saved us in the end.  With the success of Blossom Tales on Switch, we’re able to continue making updates and ports to other languages like Japanese.”

For those unaware, the game itself is open world and action-adventure centering around the adventures of Lily, a Knight of the Rose trying to save the kingdom of Blossom from an eternal darkness. A grandfather narrates her story to his granddaughter.

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is currently available on the Nintendo Switch for $14.99. You can watch a trailer for it here.
