Today Destiny 2 launched on PC, and the related press release sent by Activision included some interesting information on the performance of the game on consoles.

According to NPD data, the console version of the game managed to set itself as the best selling console game of the year to date with less than one month on the shelves.

Of course, this does not mean that the game can’t be overtaken, and with Call of Duty WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II still coming, the competition is probably going to be pitched.

Yet, at least for now, Bungie can enjoy this temporary crown, and we’ll have to see whether they’ll be able to keep it until the end of the year.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.  If you’re wondering about what’s coming, the PC version also received a roadmap for the post-launch weeks.
