Destiny 2 has kept players grinding and working their way up to the higher-leveled activities such as the Leviathan raid, and now later this week, players in the newly-released “Curse of Osiris” expansion will get one of the game’s brand new activities to explore.

Bungie has announced that the first Raid Lair activity (called “Eater of Worlds”) for Destiny 2’s “Curse of Osiris” expansion will open its doors to players this coming Friday, December 8th at 10am PT/1pm ET, which is included as part of the expansion that launched just this week on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

While Bungie has been vague on the details around the new activity, Raid Lairs are intended as a new high-level activity that is shorter in duration than the Leviathan raid, but will still retain the challenge and intensity required for the more teamwork-oriented quest, which will task players to be light level 300 or above to complete.

The location of the Raid Lair itself will bring players into a new region of the Leviathan raid, and is set to include “an entirely new set of encounters, new puzzles, new loot,” and “completely new places to explore,” according to Bungie senior game designer Brendan Thorne.

Destiny 2 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
