Today, Arc System Works revealed the release date for The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories, the upcoming game by Hidetaka “SWERY65” Suehiro. Swery is the creator of the critically acclaimed games Deadly Premonition and Dark Dreams Don’t Die (D4).

The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories will launch for PS4, Switch, Xbox One and PC via Steam on October 11th 2018, with a price tag of 29.99$.

While I’ve never played any of Swery’s games yet, I’ll definitely check them out someday as someone who loves games with good storytelling. The launch trailer for The Missing is quite intriguing too. The game gives off the same vibes as survival + platforming games like Another World, or Limbo to take a more recent example. Gruesome deaths are there as well.

The Missing was initially announced in early 2018 by Swery in a video.

Swery and his studio White Owls are also currently working on The Good Life, which was funded via Kickstarter.
