Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Gets New “Luna’s Counterattack” Event

If you’re interested in unlocking Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation‘s second-newest character Luna, this week’s event is for you.

The event is titled Rival Festival: Luna’s Counterattack and is similar in its structure to many other Rival Festivals we had since the game’s launch. Basically, you pick another player’s team to play against, and you get points for winning, unlocking various tiers of rewards as a result.

The bad news is that won matches won’t automatically grant V Stones like in other events, while the good news is that you can keep picking weaker opponents indefinitely, building up your score all the way to the last day.

The event offers the usual rewards, including technique evolution stones and V Stones, and if you managed to place high in the overall score leaderboards, you can even get SSR tickets, SSR vouchers, and an SSR head accessory for Luna named “Bunny Ribbon.”

The new hairstyle “Short bob” has also been added for Luna herself, and it’ll be offered at a discounted 80 Luna Coins instead of 240 until May 2nd. Luna coins are acquired by breaking down her personal swimsuits that you may have as duplicates.

Last, but not least, a gacha dedicated to Luna has been added, giving you a chance to grab a new SSR swimsuit named “Wonderland.” As all SSR swimsuits, it’ll unlock the corresponding character, which in this case is, of course, Luna herself.

The bad news is the usual, in the form of the ludicrously low percentages. The gacha has a laughable 0.43% chance of providing the swimsuit mentioned above, and a 1.10% chance of dropping a SSR swimsuit at all, combined with the other girls.

As a fairly peculiar element, it appears that any chance of dropping Tamaki’s SSR swimsuit, which would unlock the game’s newest character, has been removed this week.  This means that not only there is still no way to unlock Tamaki without paying real money on the third week after her release, but we can’t get her at all until she gets reintroduced in the regular gacha rotation.

Below you can check out the trailer of the event. If you want to play the game on your own PC (it’s only in Japanese but it’s fairly easy to understand) you can learn how to in our handy guide.
