Phoenix Labs announced that Dauntless, an upcoming free-to-play co-op action RPG, will be getting its first publicly available build with the Dauntless Founder’s Alpha, which is currently set to begin on August 18.

This alpha will be available to those who purchased the game’s Founder Edition-tier for $79.99, which was unveiled back in April. This pack also nets players Patron Status for 90 days in the game, the Slayer Pack, an in-game title and forum icon, a Founder’s Flare, Chroma Cores, Transmog Stones, a Founder’s Banner, a Guild Charter, and a spot in the game’s credits.

August 18 will also mark the date that the official NDA for the game will be lifted, meaning content creators will then be able to showcase the game on sites like Twitch and YouTube without many restrictions. In anticipation for this, Phoenix Labs also announced the Dauntless Partner Program, which will allow Content Creators to become tighter knit with the developers in their coverage of the game, and, as the developers put it “become part of the Dauntless family”. Exact details on what this program entails will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

You can check out the game’s E3 trailer to get a better idea about how the game plays before the Founder’s Alpha begins this August. DualShockers met up with Phoenix Labs at E3 this year, so expect some more Dauntless coverage to come your way.
