Released back in 2016, Darkest Dungeon drew critical acclaim and commercial success in bringing players an intense and dark dungeon crawling experience, with the indie title finally heading to the Nintendo Switch in the very, very near future.

Developer Red Hook Studios announced that Darkest Dungeon will release for the Nintendo Switch eShop on January 18th, 2018, and will bring over the acclaimed indie to the system for those that might want to take the action on the go. Pricing for the game on the eShop will be $24.99 USD.

In a blog post, Red Hook also shared that the game’s DLC will be available for purchase on the same day as the main game’s release, with “The Crimson Court” retailing for $9.99, while “The Shieldbreaker” will retail for $3.99.

Alongside the game’s release, Red Hook also confirmed that the Switch version of Darkest Dungeon will support touch controls on the Switch’s screen, while “The Color of Madness” DLC will also come to the system at a later time, though no specific timeframe or release window was provided for its release just yet.

Darkest Dungeon is available now on PS4, PS Vita, PC, Mac, Linux, and iPad, and will release for the Nintendo Switch on January 18th, 2018. For more on the game, you can check out our full review.
