CrossCode Has More Players on Game Pass Than Other Consoles Combined

News, Originals, Xbox One

Xbox Game Pass is hands down the best deal in gaming. On top of that, the games that come to the service usually get more exposure and sell better than if they weren’t on the subscription service. It looks like CrossCode is the next game to get the boost, at least on Xbox One.

Felix Klein, one of the developers behind the game, went on the Duel Screens podcast for an interview on the game. He was asked many questions on the game, many over Xbox Game Pass. Klein responded by stating that the game hasn’t taken off that much on PC because not many players use the Microsoft Store on their PC for games. Though, he followed that up by saying that it has taken off on Xbox One and that the current player count is higher on that system compared to both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch combined.

For context, here is the quote from Felix Klein: “You get a sum ahead of time which is guaranteed… not a lot of people playing the game on Xbox Game Pass on PC… but definitely a lot of people playing on Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One… Right at this moment, there are more people playing on Xbox Game Pass than Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 combined.”

It is not surprising to see this. Microsoft has already released statistics stating that Xbox Game Pass subscribers player both more games and games they normally wouldn’t purchase if they were not subscribed. Personally, I can back that up myself. There have been plenty of times that I have popped into a game just because I can.

CrossCode is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Make sure to check out DualShockers’ review to see if you would like to pick the game up.
