Despite some speculation that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will include microtransactions based on the listing on the Microsoft store, that is not the case. The developers of the game have stepped in and stated that the game will not include them.

Toys For Bob, the developers behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, posted on its Twitter account and cleared up the air. On top of that, as a bonus, a skin named the Totally Tubular skin will be included in all digital versions of the game. You can take a look at the tweet below.

After the backlash Activision has received and still receives to this day behind the use of Microtransactions in Crash Team Racing, it isn’t surprising to see Crash 4 not include them. However, CTR did not include microtransactions when the game first released. They came to the game just over a month after launch in an update. After reviews of the game came out, that is when Microtransactions were shoehorned into it. It was a shady move that seemed to not sit with plenty of fans out there. Hopefully, history will not repeat itself in this situation.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set to release later this year on October 2 for PS4 and Xbox One. There has still been no word on a PC or Nintendo Switch version.
