After months of months of rumors and leaks dating back to last year, it looks like Activision will finally reveal Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time tomorrow. This is according to an official status update from the game’s Twitter account earlier today:

The teaser trailer is in the old school commercial style of using mascot versions of the characters, mainly Crash himself, to represent them as crazy visuals run amok on screen. It was like going back in time to the 90s again and I loved every moment of it.

While the 20 second teaser didn’t reveal much other than the title, there are tons of things we could end up seeing tomorrow. Gameplay, the roster of characters, some story details, the consoles, and/or the release date. The reveal will be on June 22nd at 8am PDT. The latest leaks, which the tweet above references, are from Taiwan’s Ratings Board and showed off the boxart. It was then confirmed by the development studio, Toys for Bob, later on.

Before then, rumors were abound concerning the latest entry. Last year social media influencers were receiving Christmas-themed Crash Bandicoot products from Activision.

Another rumor that surfaced in February of this year declared that we’d be getting a Crash Bandicoot endless runner mobile game, which turned out to be true.

Previous titles in the franchise include the spinoff Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and the remake Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The later managed to surpass 10 million units sold, according to Activision Blizzard’s financial results as of 2018.

The game, developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision sold immensely well in 2017, where it ended up with more UK sales than any other PS4 exclusive. In August 2017 Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy also made the top of the charts in the UK for six weeks in total. And even in 2018 the game went back to the top of the charts while it was still a PS4 exclusive.
