Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is starting to get more competitive in the new year. Top players and streamers such as Zero, Salem, and MKLeo come out to Florida for Smash Conference United. With rule sets and character meta still in its infancy, competitive Smash enthusiasts won’t want to miss this one.
There are already some noteworthy matches in the books from this weekend, even though the tournament is still going on right now. We saw some early upsets during the Top 48, including Zero taking a loss to a Florida native, MuteAce. We even saw the Melee legend, Hungrybox, take Salem to a close last round and last stock.
With Top 8 underway, it looks like it can be anyone’s game. We have Salem and MKLeo in Winner’s Finals at the moment and players such as MVD and MuteAce duking it out for a shot at the Grand Finals.
