Today during a stage event from Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, Bandai Namco Entertainment showcased some brand new gameplay of the upcoming Souls-like JRPG Code Vein.

We get to see the church that was introduced in today’s issue of Famitsu, alongside some of the NPCs that reside in it, including Mia, Io, Coco, Yakumo, Rin, and Davis. The player character walks through the bar, the recreation area (with its peculiar Domino’s Pizza sign, that still has not been officially explained), the equipment shop and more.

After that, some dungeon battle gameplay is showcased, starting with the Ridge of Frozen Souls, and then moving to a second fire-based environment.

As usual, the game looks awesome, and the brutal combat feels quite similar to the Dark Souls series.

You can check out the recording below. Code Vein will release in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
