Nicalis announced today with a press release that Code of Princess EX is coming to the west in Summer 2018 for Nintendo Switch.

The game was originally released on 3DS in 2018, and it’s well known for its side-scrolling action, the lovely character design by Kinu Nishimura, and a bit of fanservice that never hurts.

Of course, we’re getting redesigned visuals, a balancing pass, improved AI, a new leveling up system for characters, and overall better gameplay.

The game features over fifty playable characters, and if you missed it on 3DS, or when it re-released for PC in 2016 there are solid reasons to be excited. The Switch may not be getting Dragon’s Crown, but this is a very valid alternative.

You can check out the trailer and a few screenshots below.

Incidentally, if you don’t know who Kinu Nishimura is, she worked on the character design and promotional art of many Capcom games, including King of Dragons, that you could consider Code of Princess‘ ancestor.
