Yesterday, a Kickstarter campaign went live for Hide or Die, an asymmetrical horror game from developer VecFour Digital. At the time of this writing, the campaign has raised$17,435 of a $54,500 goal. An almost nine-minute gameplay trailer was also released to show off some of what players can expect when the game is released.
Hide or Die will find players in an underground bunker. After the doors open, they will have to scavenge the unknown area outside of their bunker to search for objectives, supplies and the darkness. If a survivor gets too close to the darkness, they will turn into a crazed killer. Survivors can either work together to survive or get caught up in the madness of killing each other. Ultimately the last survivor will be pitted against a hunter in a final showdown until the cycle starts over. This multiplayer game will allow up to sixteen players to battle it out at a time.
Overall, this week has been terrific for Kickstarted projects, with Crusader Kings The Board Game, Faeland, and visual novel Bios being fully funded.
