Today, during a livestream on Nico Nico, Atlus and Studio Zero introduced the first trailer for the upcoming Catherine: Full Body.

The trailer showcases mostly art and cutscenes, but it also shows a glimpse of puzzle-platforming gameplay. It also reveals a Winter 2018 release window.

Catherine: Full Body is a remaster/remake (hard to exactly identify it since the graphics haven’t been massively changed, but sizable new elements have been added) of Atlus’ 2011 cult classic for PS3 and Xbox 360 Catherine. The game that told the tale of Vincent, a young man torn between two devilishly beautiful ladies, Catherine and Katherine. This time around, a third girl (assuming that she is actually a girl because judging from the trailer, that’s definitely not a given), Rin, will join the fray and fight for his heart.

It featured unforgiving puzzles that even gave birth to a rather interesting competitive scene, which will be supported in Full Body thanks to a new multiplayer mode.

You can check out the video below, alongside a few pieces of artwork and screenshots from the official site (I also included something that might be a hint to Rin’s identity, right at the end of the gallery. Or it might be nothing. You decide). If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the first screenshots published on Famitsu.

If you’re not familiar with Catherine, and want to learn about it (and you should) you can check out our review of the original game.

Catherine: Full Body will release in Winter 2018 for PS4 and PS Vita.
