Yesterday, Atlus announced Catherine: Full Body, a remake/remaster of the 2011 classic Catherine for PS3 and Xbox 360, with a large amount of new content added.

Today the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu had a spread dedicated to the game, showing off the first screenshots and artwork, and providing the first information.

The biggest addition to the original title is a “new Catherine” who is named “Rin” and she is a pianist at the bar where protagonist Vincent hangs out. At times she feels a bit ditzy, giving the impression of lacking common sense. Yet she has a straightforward and gentle personality. Rin is actually just a nickname, and her real name and age are unknown. She attracts the attention of those around her thanks to her beauty and mysterious atmosphere, but normally she doesn’t appear to be conscious of that.

She is voiced by Aya Hirano. If you watch anime or play Japanese games you surely know her voice. She played, among many other roles, Haruhi Suzumiya, Misa Amane in Death Note, and Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tails.

The game will include a new ending song, and a lot of new events, anime cutscenes, sexy events, and even new endings. Despite the fact that there is only one new heroine, there is more than one new ending.

The title “Full Body” has a precise meaning, and indicates that the experience has become denser, and the term has been borrowed from wine. On top of that, it also indicates a certain level of erotism.

There will be extensive difficulty settings and quality-of-life tweaks. The game will be designed so that people who just want to enjoy the story will be able to finish it by selecting the appropriate settings.

Online features to support competitive gameplay will be added, and cross-save between PS4 and PS Vita will be supported.

Development, which is handled by Katsura Hashino’s Studio Zero, is said to be currently at 5o%

You can check out the screenshots below but keep in mind that 2they’re from magazine scans, so the quality isn’t perfect. If you’d like to learn more about the original game, you can check out our review.
