Call of Duty: WWII will be bringing the series back to the gruesome second World War since 2008. While the anticipation for the main campaign is high, the franchise’s popular zombie mode is also making its welcoming return. A new video featuring developer Sledgehammer Games’ Creative Director Cameron Dayton and Development Director Jon Horsley was released as they discuss their frightening take on the fan-favorite mode.

In the interview, Dayton describes the Nazi Zombie mode as “visceral” and “scary.” Set during World War II, you are sent on a mission to recover lost art until you stumble upon a nefarious plot to animate the dead. Similar to previous entries, you will fight through waves of zombies that are increasingly difficult as you progress. Additionally, you will uncover the story behind the reanimations the longer you survive.

Call of Duty: WWII is the latest entry in the long running franchise. Revealed back in April, tons of information about the game has been unearthed including the game’s setting, characters, and cast. Most recently, details about the PC version including its pre-load date were unveiled.

Call of Duty: WWII will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3, 2017. If you want to know what we thought of the game, check out our closed beta impressions.
