Destiny 2 players got a huge batch of new content from the release of the game’s first expansion this week in the form of “Curse of Osiris,” and while that includes a swath of new weapons and equipment for players to utilize for their Guardians, one of the game’s new Exotics is proving to be a bit too useful when it comes to the game’s PvP modes.

Since the launch of “Curse of Osiris” this week, many players have reported (such as on Destiny subreddit) that one of the new Exotics added in Destiny 2‘s “Curse of Osiris” expansion — the new Trace Rifle called “Prometheus Lens” — has proven to be a bit overpowered in the game’s competitive PvP modes, where the rifle is capable of taking players down within just a few seconds.

One video in particular that’s been making the rounds online (from YouTube user SuperBrunch) highlights the weapon’s over-effectiveness as the player takes down 6 players in just 30 seconds using Prometheus Lens.

In response to player feedback on the weapon online, Bungie community manager David Dague explained via Twitter that Prometheus Lens “shipped with a bug,” and added that the studio will “address the issue” and provide a clearer look at what will be done to balance the weapon in the studio’s next weekly blog post.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
