First of all, it’ll be released in Japan on September 27th. At the moment only a PS4 launch has been confirmed.

The story is as wacky as the title. Neptune awakens in a strange world dominated by an organization named “Silkwarm” that worships 2D games. The people work on creating 2D games, and pay taxes with game cassettes. Those who produce poor games or dare to use new technologies are sent to the testing center where it’s rumored that their spirits are broken.

When Neptune awakens from her slumber, she is missing her memories, and she stumbles on a nearby town. A monster appears, and she manages to defeat it. She becomes a self-proclaimed heroine, and she will meet various characters during her strange journey with a mysterious book (Histoire).

On top of Neptunia, Blanc, Noire and Vert also appear in the game, and apparently, they all have lost their memories.
