Polish Developer Bloober Team has revealed to DualShockers that there is currently no plan to bring its new cyberpunk psychological horror game, Observer, to the Nintendo Switch.

Earlier this month Bloober Team revealed that its previous and debut release, Layers of Fear (which is also a psychological horror game), was coming to Nintendo’s new hybrid console. Thus it seemed plausible that Observer, its follow-up title that released back in August, could come to the console, and while it could yet still, at the moment, Bloober doesn’t have any plans.

“We have no plans at the moment to bring >observer_ to Nintendo Switch,” said the developer.

While there is currently no plan, Bloober Team didn’t completely reject the idea, saying that plans “might change at some point in the future.”

For those that don’t know: Observer is set in the dystopian future of 2084 Eastern Europe, where oppressive corporations rule a corrupt and morally bankrupt system. In it, you step into the shoes of Dan Lazaraski (who is notably played by Bladerunner’s Rutger Hauer), a detective for a corporate-funded police unit dubbed the Observers, who are decked out with special augmentations that allow them to hijack people’s minds and see things in the environment otherwise hidden to the naked eye.

The game picks up after you receive a cryptic message from your estranged son that prompts you to go looking for him in the seedy underbelly of the city where psychedelic horror and hopeless situations await you.

Observer is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $29.99 USD. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our interview with the game’s Brand Manger, Rafał Basaj, where we naturally talk all things Observer. And in case you missed it, here’s the game’s official launch trailer.
