BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Gets Blake Belladonna from RWBY, Release Date; 20 DLC Characters Planned

Today Arc System Works announced the Japanese release date of its upcoming fighting game BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle.

The game will launch in Japan on May 31st and on June 5th in North America, 2018 for PS4, PC, and Switch. It’ll cost 5,800 yen plus taxes for the packaged version, and 5,370 yen plus taxes in digital download.

In addition to the announcement, we also get the reveal of Blake Belladonna from RWBY, who will appear as a DLC character.

We learn that there will be 20 characters released with the game, but Arc System Works is planning to reach a whole 40 with DLC.  The additional DLC characters will start with Blake Belladonna, and then will be split in six sets of three each, plus another on its own. An “All-In-One Pack” with all the characters is also planned.

A “BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Limited Box” is also coming for Japan, including a special box with a crossover illustration, a download code for the characters of the All-In-One Pack, an artbook, an acrylic stand only for the PS4 version, and a multi-storage pouch only for the Switch version.

The game will also appear at EVO Japan 2018 on January 26th and 27th, with the following roster: Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, Noel Vermillion, Rachel Alucard, TR-0009 Tager, ν-13, Hazama, Makoto Nanaya, Azrael, and Es from BlazBlue: CentralFiction, Yu Narukami, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4, Linne, Hyde, Gordeau and Waldstein from Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st], and Ruby and Weiss Schnee from RWBY.
