Bandai Namco, Black Clover: Quartet Knights, News, Originals, PC, Platforms, PS4

A couple weeks ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a game project inspired by the Black Clover anime. Back then we got a small teaser trailer, but today we get the first full-fledged one during a livestream from Jump Festa.

The trailer reveals the actual title of the game since it was teased with a working title until now. It’s going to be Black Clover: Quartet Knights, but we’ll have to wait and see if this will stick for the west, since it’s coming to North America and Europe in 2018.

We also hear more about the game, which is a “4v4 magic action shooting” third-person game with online gameplay. Yet, we also hear that it won’t just be an online game, and there will be a single player story mode as well.

Players will be able to use the different features of the levels and shoot at each other from above, while it’ll be possible to climb walls and even perform skillchains with your companions.

The game is based on the fantasy-adventure manga by Yuuki Tabata that has been serialized on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 2015 and is still ongoing. The manga recently gave birth to an anime series that began airing in Japan on October 3rd, 2017.

The story is about a boy named Asta, who is the only one born without magical power in a world in which absolutely everyone has the natural skill to perform magical spells. He is abandoned as a kid alongside Yuno, that on the other hand has immense magical powers. As they turn fifteen, Yuno is given an ancient grimoire to become a Magic Knight. Yet, when a thief steals it, Asta summons his own grimoire containing the unique Anti-Magic ability, giving him the power to cancel all magic, making him a contender to the title of Wizard King and sparking a rivalry with Yuno himself.

You can check out the trailer below, alongside some images. If you want to see more, you can also check out the initial teaser trailer.
