As BioWare’s Anthem‘s release grows closer and closer, questions continue to arise among the game’s fans, and Executive Producer Mark Darrah and Game Director Jonathan Warner keep trickling down new information on social media.

We hear that Storm is likely to be the most vulnerable among the javelins. That being said it’s also the only one that gets a cape. It only has a short-range teleport.

There won’t be any requirement to use four different javelin in an instance, and there won’t be skins for weapons at launch. Cosmetics are completely separate from a player’s gameplay-related power. There are different materials to select for decoration, ad “a lot of variety.” Some options (but not all) need to be unlocked.

You can’t just crash into enemies to damage them, but flying melee is implemented into the game.

Interestingly, we also hear that a freelancer perk lets you increase the pickup radius for loot. Speaking of loot, it can be stored so that it doesn’t clutter your inventory.

Warner also mentioned that BioWare will talk about a possible companion app later on.

More information on the game’s demo is “coming soon.” Progress made in the demo won’t transfer to the full game, but progress acquired in the EA Access early access will.

If you want to learn more about Anthemmore details on the story will be revealed at PAX West, while Electronic Arts executives recently mentioned in a financial conference call that they’re pleased with the excitement building for the game. You should also check out our preview of the EA Play build of the game.

The game will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22nd, 2019. You can already pre-order your copy on Amazon.
