After it was announced at Gamescom last year, Experiment 101 and THQ Nordic’s BioMutant has become one of my most anticipated titles of 2018. That being said, we have not received a new gameplay video in a while. That changed today though, as a new gameplay teaser was released for BioMutant that showcases combat, climbing, vehicles, and more.
The trailer begins with the playable character performing a bunch of attacks in an empty room before cutting to other snippets of gameplay to help show the scope of the game’s world. The video then shows how climbing will work; players can apparently launch themselves onto a wall or other climbable surface, and then make their way up by climbing on protruding rocks or other things on the surface.
The teaser then shows some of the large bosses that players will face and cuts to montage of combat, which even has some comic-book style onomatopeia word pop up when certain actions are performed. The video ends by giving us a short glimpse at a mech that players will be able to control at some point in the game. BioMutant certainly seems to have a ton of ambition and variety, and I personally can’t wait to see how it all pans out.
