O.K. K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes is a show on Cartoon Network that’s already very video game-centric in its theme.  It’s filled with tons of video game and general nerdy references. It would only make sense for the show about video games to have its own video game, and soon it’s becoming a reality. The latest trailer tells more about the story in O.K. K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes!

Developed by Capybara Games, O.K. K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes!  tells the story of K.O., who strives to become a famous hero. Unfortunately, every hero K.O. has met is having their power levels on their Pal Cards reset to zero and K.O. needs to help raise their levels again.

The game is a side-scrolling beat-em-up with RPG elements. K.O. has the ability to call in supporting cast as support characters during fights. It definitely keeps the show’s art style and every character seems to be voiced by their respective voice actor.

Capybara Games, better known as Capy, is the developer behind Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery, Super Time Force, and the ever-elusive Below. While Below seemed to be announced far too early for how ambitious of a title it is, Let’s Play Heroes! is backed by Cartoon Network and even came out the gate with a solid release date.

O.K. K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes! will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 23.
