With a career at PlatinumGames that has spanned well over a decade, longtime director and producer Yusuke Hashimoto has had a hand beyond some of the studio’s most successful projects, such as the first two entries in the Bayonetta series. However, it appears that Hashimoto’s time with the company has come to an end just recently.

Over on Twitter, Bayonetta producer (and Bayonetta 2 director) Yusuke Hashimoto shared a statement confirming that he has departed PlatinumGames after over 13 years with the company, with Hashimoto having left the studio as of January 31, 2019 according to his statement.

In the full statement, Hashimoto expressed that his latest tweet would be “a little more personal than usual.” With that being case, Hashimoto went on to share his thanks for “anyone who has worked with me, supported me, or played my games,” and added that he hope to “take the experiences I gained at Platinum and use them on whatever I work on in the future.”

What those plans are at this time are unknown, as Hashimoto did not provide any additional details or update on what he will be doing next. However, we here at DualShockers wish him best on his next adventure.

Hashimoto served as producer on the original Bayonetta, while he took on the role of director for the game’s sequel, Bayonetta 2. It’s unknown at this time whether or not Hashimoto had any sort of direct involvement with the development of the upcoming Bayonetta 3, which Nintendo confirmed during its most recent Direct was still undergoing development for Nintendo Switch.
