Battlefield V Reveal Event to Take Place Next Week

Battlefield V, DICE, EA, News, Originals, PC, PS4, Xbox One

We’ve known for some time now that the next installment in the Battlefield franchise would release this year but now we’ve finally learned just when we’ll get our first look at the upcoming game.

The now officially titled Battlefield V will be revealed to the world a week from today on May 23. EA and DICE will be live streaming the reveal to the world via YouTube, Twitch, and other streaming services beginning at 4PM ET/1PM PT.

Battlefield V will be the follow-up to 2016’s Battlefield 1 and while the naming convention between the two titles might be a bit odd, it’s important to remember that the last mainline Battlefield title was indeed Battlefield 4 which released back in 2013. Since that time, we also saw the release of Battlefield Hardline which released in 2015.

The biggest question that many currently have about Battlefield V is the era in which the game will take place. Considering it does seem to be the follow-up to Battlefield 4, it would make sense for the series to return to a modern setting. However, some have speculated that it will be another period from the past similar to Battlefield 1.

This and many other questions surrounding Battlefield V will surely be revealed next week during the game’s reveal event, so we shouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out. Be sure to stay tuned to DualShockers next week as we’ll be reporting on all the latest Battlefield V news as it develops.
